Dan Woltman, the University of Wisconsin senior-to-be from Beaver Dam, will remain an amateur for next week's U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee.

Woltman informed me of his decision today.

Woltman, the 49th ranked amateur in the world according to Golfweek, earned a spot in the USBC via his win at the 2007 Wisconsin State Open.

Woltman said he could still turn professional before his senior season at UW begins this fall.
