One of the top scorers in the British Columbia Hockey League has committed to the Wisconsin Badgers men's hockey team.
Mark Zengerle, a center-winger who plays for Salmon Arm, visited UW earlier this month and is projected to join the Badgers for the 2010-11 season.
Zengerle, a 19-year-old from Rochester, N.Y., has 14 goals, 26 assists and 40 points in 21 games for the Silverbacks. That currently ranks fourth among league scorers.
Denver, Boston University and North Dakota also had interest in Zengerle, who's listed at 5-foot-11 and 172 pounds.
