Hayley Thramer, an all-state volleyball player from Ewing, Neb., has committed to accept a scholarship offer to play at the University of Wisconsin.

Thramer, a 6-foot-2 middle hitter, led Ewing High School to a 30-1 record last season. Her team has had consecutive runner-up finishes in the state finals.

She chose UW over Creighton, Nebraska, Colorado State, Ohio State, Wayne State, South Dakota and Iowa State.

Thramer, also an all-state athlete in basketball, has led Ewing to back-to-back state titles in that sport.
