Offense: D-minus
Penn State took advantage of Allan Evridge's low release and batted down several passes. Evridge's fumble near UW's goal line was a killer. Travis Beckum isn't the consistent playmaker he once was.
Defense: C-minus
The defense kept Penn State's explosive offense in check in the first half but couldn't overcome consistently poor field position. The Badgers put up minimal resistance in the second half.
Special teams: F
Derrick Williams' 63-yard punt return for a touchdown broke open the game for Penn State. Brad Nortman's 15-yard punt set up PSU's first field goal. The Badgers' returns went absolutely nowhere.
Overall: D
Once again, an ineffective offense, a second-half collapse on defense and shaky special teams were too much to overcome against a good team. For the first time, though, UW wasn't competitive.
