Wisconsin's Janelle Gabrielsen and Elle Ohlander were named Monday to the Big Ten Conference All-Freshman volleyball team. It was the first time that two Badgers landed on the rookie team and brings the all-time UW all-freshman honorees to 10.

Gabrielsen, a 6-1 setter/outside hitter, recorded the only triple-double in the Big Ten this season when she had 13 kills, 10 digs and 15 assists vs. No. 20 Michigan. She was also only the third UW player to record a triple-double and the first since 1988.

Ohlander, a 6-6 middle blocker, ranked second on the team this season with 0.91 blocks per set. She was also second in hitting percentage at .248, putting down 1.51 kills per set.

Penn State's Nicole Fawcett was named the Big Ten player of the year, and her coach Russ Rose was named coach of the year for the top-ranked, undefeated Nittany Lions.

Illinois' Michelle Bartsch was named freshman of the year.
